The City of Greenville, MI welcomed Governor Jennifer Granholm to the 100 kW solar project site. Energy Works provided a $180,000 grant to partially fund the installation of a solar PV array at Lincoln Elementary School. The school will also receive energy monitoring software, lesson plans, and professional development for teachers.
The installations were completed in time for the event held on October 11, 2010. As participants in the Renewable Energy Program offered by Energy Works, Kent Tech Center and Education Center received a 10 kW solar PV array, a 2 kW solar PV pavilion, and a 2.4 kW wind turbine!
