As participants in the Michigan Renewable Schools Program, Onsted Community Schools received a 1 kW solar PV awning and a 2.4k W wind turbine.
The installations were completed in time for the event held on October 11, 2010. As participants in the Renewable Energy Program offered by Energy Works, Kent Tech Center and Education Center received a 10 kW solar PV array, a 2 kW solar PV pavilion, and a 2.4 kW wind turbine!
While many believe that wind turbines are a great way to produce clean energy, some feel that these wind farms can put a person at risk for bad health. Evidence proves this to not be true.
