Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: 12 & under, and ages 13-19.

This contest is open to all students ages 19 and under.

Videos must be 30-90 seconds in length.

There is no limit to the number of entries; however, each submission must be unique, be submitted separately, and must meet all requirements.
- Video Format: H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred
- Aspect Ratio: Native aspect ratio without letterboxing (examples: 4:3, 16:9)
- Audio Format: MP3 or AAC preferred
- Frames per second: 30
- File Formats Accepted: WMV (Windows Media Video), .AVI (Windows), .MOV (Mac), .MP4 (ipod/psp), .MPEG, .MKV (h.264).
- Videos must not contain violence, profanity, sex, or direct attacks on individuals or organizations.
- The video must be your own original creation. No copyrighted music, video, or images may be used in the video. Videos must not infringe on any third party rights.
- By submitting your video, participants grant EW a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to copy distribute, modify, display and distribute your video publicly. Energy Works will use YouTube to publicly share all submitted videos, after they have been reformatted to be the same size and quality.
- Please refer to the Center for Social Media’s set of Best Practices for more information on how to use licensed materials. Creative Commons is also a great resource for license-free or flexi-licensed music and media alternatives. EW requires an “Attribution Share Alike” license.
- Participants must fill out and submit an Entry form, agreeing to these Rules, and parental consent forms MUST be obtained for EVERY person under 18 who appears in the film. Participants must submit all required releases at EW request, including a release from all individuals appearing in the video.
- Entries must be received by June 1st, 2010. Winners will be notified via e-mail and announced on the contest Web site.
- EPA reserves the right to not select a winner if none of the entries received are judged to be high quality based on the Rules and Eligibility.
- In the event that EW is unable to contact a potential winner after reasonable attempts to do so during a two week period, an alternate winner may be selected.
