The Post-Secondary Program offers high schools a unique educational opportunity to coordinate with a Michigan institute of higher education that offers green jobs training in their region .
The Post-Secondary Program will foster relationships between high schools participating in the Michigan Renewable Schools Program and Michigan institutes of higher education that offer training in energy efficiency and/or renewable energy.
Students and faculty from the institution will visit each high school and actively engage with the high school students to raise awareness and provide guidance about pursuing green careers in Michigan. Presentations are intended to inform and inspire high school students about prospects for careers in Michigan’s green economy, and encourage students to seek post-high school training opportunities in their region.
The Post-Secondary Program presentations will be scheduled at each high school during Fall 2010.
