During the next 16 months, Planet Footprint will provide a free subscription to world-class environmental scorekeeping services to K-12 schools participating in the Michigan Renewable Schools Program.
Benefits to the schools include, increased accountability for energy use and costs, with the most important information clearly identified. Planet Footprint will measure, report, and benchmark energy and environmental performance in order for schools and school districts to begin building performance improvements with the assistance of programs, such as the Michigan Renewable Schools Program.
Schools will also receive assistance in developing web profiles to publicize their green achievements and learn what other schools are doing similarly to improve energy and environmental performance.
